School Profile
Shri Sanatan Dharm School was established in the year 1931 as a primary school near Laxman Mandir. Over the decades, the school grew steadily and was upgraded to the middle school level in the 1930s, secondary level in the 1960s, and senior secondary level in the 1980s. In the year 2000, the school received permanent affiliation up to the Higher Secondary level from the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education.
Throughout its long and eventful journey, the school has witnessed many challenges and transformations. The present Management Committee is committed to setting the highest standards of quality education in Bharatpur through a modern, value-based, and learner-focused approach.
At present, the school functions as an English-medium, co-educational day school. Shri Sanatan Dharm School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and is also an authorized IB Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) School.
Vision and Ethos
Bharatpur and its surrounding regions are home to several reputed non-government schools that are doing commendable work in the field of education. Each institution has its own philosophy and distinctive ethos. Sanatan School does not seek to replace or compete with any existing school.
Instead, the school aims to add meaningful value to the educational landscape of Bharatpur by addressing specific gaps in quality, child-focused, and future-ready education, ensuring that students do not have to leave their city and families in search of better learning opportunities.
Child-Centric Approach to Education
Shri Sanatan Dharm School is a child-centric institution, where every academic and co-curricular decision is taken with the child at the center. The school recognizes that each learner is unique, with individual interests, abilities, learning styles, and emotional needs.
The school follows the principles and guidelines of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) and the National Curriculum Framework 2023 (NCF 2023), integrating them meaningfully into everyday teaching and learning practices.
Concept of High-Quality Education
At Sanatan, education is not limited to syllabus completion or examination performance. High-quality education is defined by the holistic development of the learner, encompassing intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and moral growth.

Role of Parents
Sanatan School believes that education is a shared responsibility between the school and parents. While the school focuses on structured learning and skill development, parents play a crucial role in nurturing emotional well-being, values, and discipline at home.
Regular communication and collaboration between parents and the school help create a consistent, supportive, and balanced environment for the child’s overall growth.
Conclusion
At Shri Sanatan Dharm School, education is life-oriented rather than examination-oriented. The school strives to develop confident, compassionate, inquisitive, and responsible individuals who are well-prepared not only for academic success but also for meaningful participation in society.
